The Royal Nanny Diaries

I wrote a bit about the Prince George’s new nanny last week, but new details were revealed today. I’m personally a little surprised they revealed her full name. But I don’t know what standard protocol is for such things, and I guess they did always refer to Prince William and Prince Harry’s nanny, Jessie Webb, by name. Ms. Webb was also Prince George’s temporary nanny prior to the hiring of the new nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.

Maybe it’s because I was a former au pair, and then a nanny for a year, but I’m especially curious to know more about Prince George’s nanny and would love to know her schedule, relationship with William and Kate, and all the other aspects of her life… but highly doubt we’ll ever be given such insights.

While it sounds incredible and I would never turn down such an opportunity, I can assure you from my own experience as a nanny, (even for “common folk”) it’s nothing like Marry Poppins. And with it already being a high-stress position in general, adding the royal pressure to it must be a thousand times more intense… props to you, sister-nanny.
